DIN classes, European standard and CE classification

Because of their frequent door use, contract business locks have to be particularly sturdy. The locks are classified in accordance with their respective intended use (DIN classes 3-5).

Increased requirements apply to locks in fire doors. The "Prüfinstitut Schlösser und Beschläge" (Testing Institute for Locks and Hardware) in Velbert tests and certifies the fire protection locks from CES in accordance with the requirements of the European standard EN 12209.

These are CE-marked as a visible proof that the CES fire protection locks comply with EU requirements.
